I got my first borzoi in 1983 and
I have never regret one single time on the choice I made. The lady's
name was Nord Ch Fiva`s
Fusjenka and she was by N S Ch Za`Wado`s Tzarkov and out of Al Wintar`s Sahri.
Ever since then, I have had 3-4 of these beautiful dogs in our home.
The borzois in our house are all members of our family. To us, this
breed isn't only beautiful, but also kind and intelligent. Even though
we have spent 20 years with working dogs, Fusjenka, or "Fusse" as she
was called, was our number 1.
In 1986 it was time to find a
suitable partner for Fusjenka. We spend a lot of time reading, making
phonecalls and looking at pictures and it wasn't easy to decide.
Winter 1987 we went to an international show in Sweden. While sitting
ringside, admireing the dogs in the ring, we suddenly saw "him". He
was proud and dignified like a king. I couldn't get him out of my head
and in February I finally had enough courage to call the owner and
breeder in Uppsala, Piskko & Rigder Nylund and asked if I could breed
my bitch to him. The wellknown Int Nord Ch Yablonaja Boleck sired my
first litter.
Fusjenka only had one litter, but
she is behind all our litters. In our last two litters, we have even
doubled on Fusjenka and Boleck.
April 18th 1987, on Easter Eve,
Fusjenka gave birth to six healthy and lively puppies were born, four
males and two bitches. This was a successful litter, with among others Int N S Ch NV-91 Tzartaig Tbelizi
L` Vova , N S Ch Tzartaig Askanija Nova and Int Nord Ch NV-92 Tzartaig
Rostov Na-Danu. Tzartaig Tallin was tragically killed by a car. Tzartaig Stanijkov
was shown a few times as a youngster, but was rehomed to a family
didn't care for shows, but he was happy with his new home. Tzartaig Tzar Pazijec
was exported to kennel Kostenov, in Vermont, USA and has several nice
offspring at that kennel, but also in Canada.
In 1991 did we import Int Am N S
Ch Desire's Cool Image. She had it all, beauty, elegance, nice
temperament and all we could dream of. She became dam to seven puppies
in Tzartaig's second litter. Four from this litter achieved the
championtitle, two tragically died in an accident as puppies and one
was never shown.
Desire's Cool Image had a
fantastic career with several nice Best in Show- and groupplacements,
both in Norway and Sweden. She was even BOB at the prestigious
Skokloster Show, over more than 60 entered borzois and BIS-2 at the
Norwegian kennel club's allbreed show in Bergen, defeating over 1600
entries.
Desire, together with Tzartaig
Rostov Na-Danu, from our first litter has dominated our dog's
pedigrees the last years.
